Veronica Foody at Yoga In The Bay

Veronica has been practicing and studying yoga for over 35 years since she first discovered the yoga of Richard Hittleman.  It is the sustaining influence in her life and it has been enhanced by her becoming a Yoga Teacher almost 10 years ago.  Initially, she trained with Ananda Yoga in California and later qualified as a Yoga Therapist with Integrative Yoga Therapy, also in the US.

Veronica is guided by the traditional and classical teachings of yoga as set out in the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali. These are also the foundation of her Yoga Teacher Training Programme.  She supports the belief that the realisation of which yoga speaks comes from within, through a diligent and devoted yoga practice. It is a blessing and bonus to meet one's Guru in the present lifetime.  However, if we are sincere in our search the Guru is available to us in many guises throughout our lives: parents, teachers, and family and especially through the authentic yoga scriptures.
